The Lilac KOPS Honor Society held their February Luncheon at Slayton Place Restaurant in Spencerport. It was a wintery, blustery day, but 21 people braved the weather and attended the luncheon! We had good food and a great time and decided to hold the next luncheon in the same location on May 14th and hope that many more of our 75 KOPS in Monroe County will attend. This is a prestigious group, and you have earned the honor to be a part of it. Dues are only $5 per year and will be payable at the May meeting. TOPS Members within 10 pounds of goal are also invited to attend.

       Carol Loughner of NY 0241 Rochester was elected as Kaptain and Mary Lou Reifsnyder of NY 0054 Fairport was re-elected as Kashier. Jean Polcyn of NY 0250 Rochester was appointed by the Executive Board to serve as Korrespondent for the remainder of the term that was being served by Grace Norcott of Newark, since the Honor Society split during the recent reorganization following Marcia Jackson’s retirement. At the May meeting, we will install the Officers and also appoint a Ko-Kaptain to replace Carol Loughner until next February’s election. Many thanks to Lyn Van Lare and Grace Norcott of Newark for their great leadership and support this past year. We wish them all the best with the formation of the new Apple Blossom KOPS Honor Society!

        Honor Society meetings offer an opportunity to share the triumphs and challenges of maintaining your goal weight. Hopefully, enabling you to order from the menu will make the luncheons more affordable and will encourage more KOPS to enjoy these special moments together. I hope to see many more Monroe County KOPS at the May meeting!
